The event is being organized by Thinkbiz Marcom, a company with experience in creative work. Sayan Majumder, the organizer shared his thoughts on the event.
"For nine years Thinkbiz Marcom has been working in marketing. We have worked with well-known artists. We realized that there is a need to create a platform for artists to reach an audience and showcase their talent."
Sutapa Bandyopadhyay, a known elocutionist expressed her thoughts on poetry and its connection to Bengal.
"For me poetry is a medium to connect human emotions with the soil of Bengal. Through 'PhoKobita' my goal is to present the beauty and feelings of Bengali literature in a way. When you add folk music to poetry the experience becomes personal and blends with our culture."
Tanmoy Biswas, a singer emphasized how folk music reflects the daily lives of people.
"Bengali folk music is about the stories of our soil and the emotions of people. Singing these songs is close to my heart. The best part of 'PhoKobita' is how folk songs and Bengali poetry will merge on one stage. It will be an experience for the audience."
