In a significant move toward corporate social responsibility and national service, Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army. This partnership aims to provide extensive educational support and welfare benefits to serving personnel, veterans, and their families across India.
The agreement was formalized by the Colonel (Ceremonial & Welfare) of the Indian Army and Dr. Yash Pal, Chief Academic & Business Head (Delhi-NCR) at AESL. This collaboration follows a similar successful initiative recently launched by AESL with the Central Reserve Police Force Family Welfare Association (CWA).
Key Scholarship Benefits under the MoU
The MoU introduces a tiered scholarship structure designed to ease the financial burden of quality test preparation for Army families. These benefits are applicable at all AESL centers nationwide:
For Wards of Martyrs: Children of personnel who died while in harness will receive a 100% waiver on all fee components (only the Registration Fee remains payable).
For Gallantry Awardees & Disabled Personnel: Wards of gallantry award winners and personnel with more than 20% disability are eligible for a 100% tuition fee waiver.
For Serving and Retired Personnel: Wards of all serving and retired Army members will receive a 20% tuition fee waiver (calculated after any other applicable scholarships are deducted).
Note: These special provisions are supplementary to AESL’s existing nationwide scholarship programs available to the general public.
Beyond the Classroom: Mentoring and Support
Understanding that academic success requires more than just lectures, AESL has committed to providing comprehensive mentoring and counseling. These sessions will address career-related queries and academic stress through both physical and virtual platforms, ensuring students receive guidance regardless of their location.
Mr. Chandra Sekhar Garisa Reddy, MD & CEO of AESL, emphasized the vision behind the move:
"Partnering with the Indian Army allows us to honour the sacrifices of our brave soldiers by empowering their families with quality education. We aim to ensure that the wards of our heroes are equipped to become leaders in their own right."
