46th PSPB Inter-Unit Golf Tournament Concludes in Kolkata with Stellar Performances

Kolkata 14 March 2026: The Royal Calcutta Golf Club in Kolkata was the place to be for the 46th PSPB Inter-Unit Golf Tournament 2025-26. This big event was organized by GAIL India Limited. Managed by Concept Conferences from New Delhi. It brought together the golf players from Indias public sector petroleum units. They all came to show off their skills and have a time.

A Grand Closing Ceremony

The tournament ended with a closing ceremony. Many important people were there to cheer on the players. These people included Shri Pushkar, who's the Zonal CGM in Kolkata and Mrs. Sabeena Chowdhary, who is the Member Secretary of PSPB. Sunil Kumar Meena, the Chief General Manager of Human Resources at GAIL India Limited was also there. They gave out trophies and prizes to the winners. This marked the end of a sporting event.

Guntas Kaur Sandhu: The Star of the Tournament

Guntas Kaur Sandhu from Oil India Limited was the star of the show. She won every big category. This showed that she is one of the golf players around. She won awards like Best Golfer of the Tournament and Best Golfer Gross Score. She also won the SN Bhatt Trophy.

Guntas Kaur Sandhu did not just win the awards. She also showed how good she is at skills. She won awards for the Best Bunker Shot and the Longest Drive in the Ladies category.

Team Results and Championship Standings

The team competitions were very tough. Players had to work and use strategy to win. In the Stableford Competition the team of H.C. Pant from GAIL and Guntas Kaur from OIL won.

The battle for the championship was fierce. In the end Team OIL. A won. Team GAIL came in second. Team OIL. B came in third.

In the Nett category Team BPCL won. Team IOCL came in second.

Special Recognition

The tournament also recognized leaders on the golf course. Saloma Yomdo, who is a Director at OIL won the PSPB President’s Trophy. Surya Bhan Mall from GAIL also did well. He won the Gobain Trophy and the award for Best Nett over 18 holes.

The 46th PSPB Inter-Unit Golf Tournament was a success. It was more than a competition. It was a celebration of sports, in Indias oil and gas sector. OIL did well and GAIL hosted the event at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club. The tournament set a standard for future events.
